Privacy notice

Last updated: 5 October 2026.

The short version

Murray Physics needs a small amount of information to run your account, remember your course and revision progress, keep the service secure, and provide Premium access if you subscribe.

Your study profile is not a public profile. If you delete your account, Murray Physics removes your student learning data and anonymises the account. A limited billing or audit record may sometimes need to be kept for financial, security or legal reasons.

If any part of this notice is unclear, you can ask a parent, carer, teacher or another trusted adult to read it with you.

Who is responsible for your information?

Murray Physics is responsible for the personal information used by this revision service. You can ask a privacy question or exercise a data-protection right by emailing support@murrayphysics.co.uk.

What information do we use?

Why do we use it?

We use account, study and subscription information to provide the service you ask us to provide, including saving progress and checking access to paid features. We use limited technical and security information where necessary to operate and protect Murray Physics. Some billing records may also need to be kept to meet financial or other legal obligations or to deal with legal claims.

Who processes information for Murray Physics?

We use specialist service providers to run parts of Murray Physics. These currently include Railway for hosting, Resend for service email, and Stripe for payments where you subscribe. They process information needed to provide those services. Their infrastructure may involve processing outside the UK; you can contact us if you want more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

How long do we keep it?

Student account and study information is normally kept while your account is active. You can use Delete my account while signed in. That removes student learning data and anonymises the account.

Limited billing, security and audit information may be retained after account deletion where it is still necessary for financial records, legal obligations, fraud/security investigation or legal claims. Operational backups are protected and replaced through the normal recovery cycle rather than being used as an active copy of a deleted account.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to ask for a copy of your information, correct it, have it erased, restrict its use, or object to some uses. Children have data-protection rights too. The easiest way to erase the ordinary student account data is the self-service deletion tool, but you can also contact Support.

If you are unhappy with how a privacy request is handled, you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Automated revision feedback

Murray Physics can automatically mark some revision answers and use study results to show progress or recommend areas to revisit. These features support revision; they do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Changes to this notice

If the way Murray Physics uses personal information changes materially, this notice will be updated and the new date will be shown above.
